Woman Fined For Planning Offence

A Belfast woman was fined £200 plus court costs of £85 at Belfast Magistrate's Court yesterday for failing to comply with a Planning Service enforcement notice.

Ms Karen Keenan of Mountainview Gardens, Belfast pleaded guilty to the charges having previously been served the notice which required removal of an unauthorised dormer at her property.

The Planning Service brought the action under Article 67A(1)(a) of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 (as amended), namely carrying out development without the planning permission required.
