One of Ireland's largest builders' providers - and recent winner of the Octabuild Builders Merchant of the Year Award - JP Corry, has hosted a trade show and CPD seminar.
It brought together manufacturers, suppliers and customers under the one roof, which showed willingness in the industry to continue to build on relationships and future business. The successful event was held at the Clayton Hotel in Galway.
The trade show and seminar were designed to provide architects, builders and other industry professionals with an insight into the numerous sustainable/renewable building materials that are supplied by JP Corry.
"Sustainability and the use of renewable building materials is becoming a vital part of the construction industry and at JP Corry we have a solution to suit any domestic or commercial project, new build or refurbishment," explained Stephen Megarry, Managing Director of JP Corry.
A number of suppliers exhibited their new and innovative products at the shows and Peter Keavney, Director of the Galway Energy Agency, gave a CPD seminar on titled 'Renewable Energy Integration with Building Regulations'.
The seminar was very well attended and has led to plans for similar events in the future.
As well as unveiling a number of new products at the trade show, JP Corry reinforced the fact that they supply a wide range of timber products with 'Chain of custody' certification.
"We are proud to offer certified timber products to our customers, confirming that JP Corry has strict procurement policies using environmentally sound sources of supply," continued the MD.
"Chain of Custody certification shows our commitment to supplying ethically sourced timber which we can trace from the forest floor right through to our timber yards," he said.
