The Iseq (Irish Stock Exchange Quotient) had added 26.97 points to 3,080.94 by lunchtime today, lifted by gains in building group, CRH as well as Bank of Ireland and Irish Life and Permanent.

CRH saw it’s stock rise to €18.41 this afternoon, a 1.1% growth on yesterdays final figure of €18.20 – which itself was 25 cents down from previous figures.
The euro also hit a near one-month high – rising to $1.4578, its highest since December 16th, 2009, according to date provided by Reuters.
