Over €100,000 has been released to carry out improvement schemes across Cill Chomáin, as part of a wider €750,000 investment.
Rural Affairs Minister Éamon Ó Cuív said the money would go towards providing footpaths, landscaping, lighting and related improvements in the villages of Inbhear, Poll an tSómais, Ros Dubhach, Corrán Buí and Ceathrú Thaidhg/Ceathrú na gCloch.
Minister Ó Cuív said these community improvement projects will commence shortly and will be finished, in the most part, by the end of this year.

In Inbhear nine new lights will be installed on the existing footpath from the housing estate north as far as the school. The existing wires will be place 550m underground.
In Poll an tSómais 12 new lights will be installed along the existing footpath from the school as far as the post office/housing estate; in addition to new seating, and landscaped areas.
Ros Dumhach will benefit from a new cement path (1.5m in width) between national and secondary schools; as well as landscaping and street furniture.
In Corrán Buí a 220m path will be constructed between the church and the community centre; along with six new lights and additional drainage works.
Ceathrú Thaidhg / Ceathrú na gCloch will undergo landscaping on the triangle opposite old school.
A new picnic site will also be developed in Ceathrú na gCloch.
