About Access All Areas Ltd
Welcome to Access All Areas ltd, since 2007.
We provide solutions for both pedestrian and traffic control using the best available equipment.
We also are the Munster region authorised agent for Pollock Irish manufactured disabled lifts and platforms. www.pollocklifts.ie
We have carried out and continue works for the following Lidl, AIB, Bank of Ireland, Ulster bank, a number of credit unions, Café velo & H&M Cork to name but a few.
Unlike many others we install only to the highest required standards and can be assured our installations comply with the required European standards.
We are also fully focused on the upgrading of safety devices on both electronic gates and automatic doors following a number of fatal and series life threatening accidents.
The EU introduced legislation a number of years ago on the installations of both automated doors and gates. Making them safe to use for all but especially young children, elderly and vulnerable. We aim to provide this both during installation and retrospectively.
We have partnered up with the best equipment available from DEA automaton who also give a 4 year warranty on parts, way beyond any other suppliers.
Any entrance, any brand, any time. Our experienced technicians are certified to perform any service or repair required on your door – no matter the type of entrance or brand.
Automated Door Systems
We here at Access All Areas have 15years of experience in the automatic door industry are fully trained to best standards.
The only member of the ADSA (Automatic Door Suppliers Association) in Cork and one of only a few on the entire Island of Ireland. The ADSA train and certify automatic door engineers to the EN16005:2012
Did you know that automated doors and gates are also covered by the Machinery Directive of 2008?
EN 16005 is the current European standard for automatic building doors that must be adhered to.
Introduced in 2012 and effective from April 2013, the new EN 16005 standard covers power-operated pedestrian door equipment such as sliding, swing and revolving door sets, including balanced and folding doors.
Key aspects include the requirement for building owners to ensure doors covered by the standard are properly maintained for safety, long-term reliability and efficiency. It also sets requirements for maintenance record keeping, and improved safeguards to prevent crushing and impact injuries.
How Access All Areas Supports You
Audit and inspection is an in-depth evaluation of the performance, safety, eco-efficiency, accessibility and aesthetics of your current door equipment. It provides a clear, straightforward way to identify any areas that need to be improved in order to ensure that your equipment is compliant.
Our maintenance services ensure that your doors are properly maintained for safety, long-term reliability and efficiency, as required by the new standard. We maintain all brands of doors.
Automatic Gates
Did you know that automatic gates are also covered under the machinery directive 2008. They are usually in a public area and as such should be safe to use. There have been numerous accidents which could have been fully preventable.
We here at Access All Areas are leading the field in the upgrade and installation of safety devices. Many companies try but aren't exactly sure whats required leaving your gates unprotected even after investing in the safeties.
We are the only company in Munster fully trained and certified gate safe by the the DHF in the UK and are fully qualified to carry out risk assessments and safety upgrades.

Automatic doors need to be insalled correctly.
Today Access All Areas Ltd managed to change the specification of an automatic door e-tender to ensure the systems were installed to the current EN16005:2012 standards.
Far too often companies that supply automatic door systems are not complying and ultimately leaving the system potentially dangerous.
This tender was for a number of automated sliding doors in a school entrance. Over 700 children attend this school and incorrect information on installation and the safety of the door was requested. This asked for basic side mounted safety devices where in this particular setting the only option would be screens, known in the industry as 'Pocket screens'
During our enquires we also found that this would be a main fire exit, this requires a much higher level of automation safety. Unfortunately many installers still continue to ignore these regulations and we see many examples of new installations not complying to EN16005:2012.
Remember these are put in place for everyones' protection.
